About Martins Martin Water Conditioning began in 1973 when Dennis Martin set up an operation in his 200 sq. ft. garage in the small town of Myerstown. With one employee on staff, they served the local community, servicing and installing water treatment systems with a commitment to complete customer satisfaction. In 1979, in an effort to better serve the community with a larger selection of new products, a new sales and service location was built along route 422 one mile east of Myerstown. Since the Martin Water Conditioning service area is deeply rooted in the farming community, Martin’s was fast becoming an authority on water treatment for the dairy and agricultural market. Agricultural applications require larger and more complex water treatment systems. Martin’s naturally began to move into the larger commercial water treatment in other arenas such as businesses, schools, hospitals, hotels, restaurants, and manufacturing facilities. As Martin Water Conditioning continued to grow over the next few years locations were added in Lancaster, Lebanon, and Quarryville. The Lebanon operation was moved to a larger facility in Cleona, also located along route 422 west of Lebanon. In 1990, to meet the increased demand in the agricultural market in the western part of the state, a sales and service office was located in Stoystown, Somerset County. The year 2000 marked two more expansions for Martin Water Conditioning. A new store in Brownstown with an expanded showroom and additional parking replaced the Lancaster location. Due to growing agricultural and residential water treatment activity in the state of New York, a sales and service facility was established in central New York. The newest location was added in 2003 in Ephrata along route 322, helping to serve the growing market needs in Lancaster County. Today, with a network of seven store locations, customers are provided with a quick response to their water treatment needs in the central Pennsylvania region and southern New York Martin Water Conditioning continues to be owned and operated by the Dennis Martin family with a team of more than 40 employees. Martin’s growth is directly credited towards the hard work and dedication of its employees and the loyalty of its customers.
